Historic World Cup BRONZE in Glasgow

Bayley’s World Cup debut helps earn Canada’s first-ever World Cup Men’s Team Pursuit medal, at the UCI Track World Cup 2016/17 season opener in Glasgow, Scotland!

The Canadian men had the third best time in the TP qualifier and first round, earning their spot in the Bronze medal final.  Bayley then came in for his first ever World Cup ride, as the starter for Canada’s final pursuit against Switzerland.

Canadian history was made, in front of a sold out crowd of two thousand people, as the men convincingly beat the Swiss, to take the Team Pursuit Bronze Medal!   “A clinical performance it was, by the Canadians”,  stated the announcers, as they praised the Canadian pursuit squad, after their win.

Congrats to Bayley Simpson, Aidan Caves, Adam Jamieson, Jay Lamoureux, and Ed Veal, for continuing to move Canadian Men’s Track Cycling up in the World!
